Meet Kanye Cumberbatch – Barbados’ Rising Wrestling Star! 🥇

19-year-old Kanye Cumberbatch, a second-generation Barbadian living in the USA, is making major moves on the mat! Representing Barbados, Kanye recently took GOLD in the Men’s U20 70kg Open Division! He’s proudly flown the flag for Barbados at:The U23 Pan American ChampionshipsThe Senior Pan American Beach Wrestling Championships in Queretaro, Mexico.Earned Silver at the 2024 Canada Beach Open. A product of USA High School folk-style wrestling, Kanye is now pursuing a degree in Sports Management while continuing to represent Barbados with pride. His goal? To help young Barbadian athletes gain exposure and compete on the USA wrestling circuit

Mr. Christopher Hinds

GROUNDSMAN OF THE YEAR

Mr. Christopher Hinds
Mr. Hinds was so outstanding in his preparation of
the cricket grounds and pitches that he was selected
to undertake preparation of key grounds for the
Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) and the NSC
Herman Griffith Finals. In addition, he also prepared
grounds for international fixtures at Kensington
Oval, namely the England Series and the Caribbean
Premier League. Mr. Hinds also assisted in relaying
the pitch at the Farmers ground in St. Thomas during
2024.
