BCC Dominates Opening Game of 2025/2026 NSC U19 Basketball Season

The 2025/2026 Co-operators General Insurance National Sports Council (NSC) U19 Basketball Competition has officially tipped off — and what an opening day it was! The first games of the season delivered excitement, energy, and standout performances from Barbados’ top young basketball talents.

In the opening-day highlight, Barbados Community College (BCC) claimed a dominant 85–21 victory over Harrison College B, showing their intent to be a major force in this year’s U19 basketball competition.

Leading the charge for BCC were:

  • Darion Griffin (#15) with 22 points, showcasing impressive shooting accuracy and leadership.

  • Xavier Andre (#8) who added 14 points, contributing on both ends of the court.

For Harrison College, Justin Sandiford (#10) put up a strong fight with 8 points, demonstrating determination against a tough opponent.

Other Results from Opening Day

The day’s action also featured big performances across the board:

  • Queen’s College overpowered Coleridge & Parry, taking a commanding 99–10 win.

  • Providence School edged out Combermere A in a close battle, 33–28.
